If you ask Sven Lindig when he joined the company, he answers with a smile: "since 1972". After completing an apprenticeship as a motor vehicle mechanic, the 47-year-old entrepreneur studied business administration and then managed forklift sales at LINDIG Fördertechnik GmbH.
In 2011, he took over the forge and car manufacturing company, founded in 1899, and has continued to run the family business in the fourth generation ever since. With 350 employees, LINDIG has made a name for itself in the region as a modern service provider for intralogistics and height access technology. Sven Lindig's vision for LINDIG Fördertechnik GmbH, however, encompasses much more than just the profitability of the company.
Over the years, the entrepreneur has almost completely withdrawn from the operative business and since then has been working more AM than IM. After a record year in 2017, the father of four could rest on his laurels - but far from it: Sven Lindig has set himself and his team on course towards the "New World of Work".
Since 2014, the entrepreneur has also been investing in new activities in the fields of aviation, digitisation, the environment and energy. Since 2015 he has also been Managing Director of HORTEN Aircraft GmbH - manufacturer of a unique flying wing light aircraft without fuselage.
